  2. Yes, I have finished a blanket...but it took me months and months of work.
I used a really small hook. What size did you use?

  3. Wow, that is gorgeous. I love the color choice. I am so not that ambitious (or skilled), so no half-finished knitty things here. I can't believe you finished that in a weekend!

  7. Great job!! Crochet?
I finished the binding on a quilt last night!
It was one that went by the wayside as I completed lots of other projects so it's nice to have it done.

  9. I am pretty much the boss of starting things and not finishing them! (Just ask my boyfriend about the space invaders scarf I started for him 3 years ago...)

But once upon a time I made a similar blanket and mostly finished it, but it was for a friend who was having a baby and I was a little too optimistic about her having a girl, and used a lot of pink yarn. And then she had a boy! And even though we both know boys can like pink, she thought it might confuse other people so I don't think she ever used it for him. Ah well!

Your blanket is beautiful, by the way :)

  12. Oh this made me laugh! Such exultant tones! I heartily agree with you; completing a project in good time is extremely satisfying. I have, currently, about 9 projects under way that probably will never get finished. But I have recently finished one and am tickled pink by my own cleverness. ;)

The blanket is very beautiful. And the pictures are adorable.

  13. I finished a quilt recently [took me over a year to complete start to finish]. It feels SO GOOD to accomplish something that was *big* for me.

    Your blanket looks great! :)

  14. Super impressive! I am just learning to crochet, so have never finished or even started anything that large. I did make a small quilt last year and was quite pleased with myself. Such a sense of acomplishment to make something that big!
