DIY // Geometric Painted Wooden Bowls

Today has been a good, productive day! I did a few posts, went shopping and made these bowls! :) I picked these cute little wooden bowls up at a thrift store for two dollars, and knew exactly what I was going to do with them, I love the way they turned out! These have so many different options and possibilities, that you can play around with to suit your style! Happy crafting!
You'll Need: wooden bowls, crafters paint (I used acrylic), paintbrush, masking tape, sandpaper and a sharpie (optional)
Step One: Tape up all around your bowl
Step Two: Give the sections that you're going to paint, a light sanding so the paint will stick better.
Step Three: Paint away, then right after, remove the tape and let dry!
Then you can fill it with all kinds of things, like snap peas from your garden! :)
p.s. you're going to want to keep updated with the facebook page!

10 Free Commercial-Use Fonts

I've shared this before, but I'm a bit of a font-aholic! I think being a blogger forces you to be really innovative and creative in the way that you present not only yourself, but your product and your ideas as well! Over the years fonts have become a way for me to experiment with display and design and typography has become something I love!

There are a lot of free fonts out there, between dafont, 1001 fonts and font space, but finding fabulous free commerical fonts requires a bit more digging! Thanks to Font Squirrel, I've put together 10 of my favorite commercial use fonts that are all quirky, cute and fun! :)

DIY // Rustic Food Photography Backdrops

Food photography, as of late, has become one of my favorite things to do! I love creating some delicious food and then figuring out new ways to photograph it and make it look oh-so-tasty! Buying new props is always so fun, but my latest adventure is in making some pretty wooden backdrops, here's how I did it in two easy steps!
You'll Need: Wood, sponge brush, some paint and sandpaper (I used the fine stuff)
Step One: Paint your board! I used a mix of blue and white to get some contrast. Let it dry completely. Once that side is dry, you can paint the other side! I chose to do a light coat of white.
Step Two: Once its dry, give it a good sandpaper treatment all over and in more areas than others to create a bit of a vintage, worn out look!
Then take super pretty photos of food and marvel at your new backdrop!

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

Happy June!! :) I cant believe how fast this year has gone by, feels like it was just the beginning of 2013. If you ask me, pumpkin season should be all year around! This is my favorite way to have popcorn and its great when you need a sweet treat, which for me, is more often than I wish! All it takes is some honey, coconut oil and some spices!
Ingredients: •Plenty of popcorn • 1/2 cup of coconut oil • 1/2 cup honey •desired amount of pumpkin spice, I probably used around 3 tablespoons. If you dont have pumpkin spice, just add a bunch cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice to your mixture. You can also add some chili powder for an extra punch.
ONE: heat up in a pan your coconut oil, honey and spices until its all warm and melted (this will make your house smell amazing)
TWO: put your popcorn in a pan and drizzle your syrupy goodness over top, making sure to stir it well
THREE: Put in the oven at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes, taking out to stir halfway through, until its a nice dark golden brown color.
FOUR: Take out of the oven and stir. Let it sit until it gets crispy. Trust me, its going to be hard to resist, but its a million times better when its not hot!
Have a healthy guilt free popcorn at your next movie night! :)
p.s. if you have any healthy popcorn recipes, I'd love to hear them!

Car Show!!

Going to the vintage car show is fast becoming one of my favorite traditions around here! :) I had such a fun time last year peeking at all these gorgeous vintage cars and being slightly rebelious and touching them all, even though you arent supposed to! :P scandelous right? Haha, anyways, here are some photos of this years car show!
I was taking a look at this truck, because its literally my absolute dream car and the owner of it saw me swooning over it and he let me sit in it!!!! :) Day made right there!
Gahh, they're all so pretty!
